IMMEDIATE MOBILIZATION OF VOLUNTEERS TO INVENTORY AND LOAD MEDICAL SUPPLIES FOR HAITI
Coralville, IA – The Volunteer Center of Johnson County is asking for volunteers for the Iowa to Haiti Medical Shipment Project to provide assistance TODAY, Saturday, February 6. Volunteers are needed beginning at 4 p.m. today and will be needed until midnight tonight.
Volunteers are needed to:
• Box medical supplies on site
• Catalog supplies for shipping
• Load medical supplies onto pallets
Volunteers are asked to report to the Iowa to Haiti Medical Shipment loading site, located in Coralville at Quality Care Storage, Entrance 2 on James Street. This entrance is the first right after the US Post Office Annex.
Volunteer are asked to dress warmly and wear gloves.
The Iowa to Haiti Medical Shipment Project is a collaborative effort coordinated through the Office of Iowa Governor Chet Culver.
