Volunteer Center

Volunteer for One Book Two Book Festival!

Volunteers are needed to support and participate in the One Book Two Book Festival on January 11 & 12, 2013. The Volunteer Center of Johnson County is organizing the volunteers for the event and there are many volunteer opportunities available, including dressing as children’s literary characters, assisting with reading activities, greeting participants and many others. For more information on volunteer opportunities, please call 319-337-VOLS (8657) or visit website!

One Book Two Book, A Celebration of Children's Literature in the City of Literature, takes place in Iowa City with several events, including a visit from Nancy Krulik,  author of more than 100 books for children and young adults. She is best known, however, for being the author and creator of the Katie Kazoo, Switcheroo book series. This innovative 3-day event will feature non-stop action including book readings, author signings, puppet shows, arts and crafts, costumed characters, young writers' workshops and more!
