The Volunteer Center of Johnson County wants to help you promote employee volunteerism! Employee volunteer programs vary between workplaces and can include encouragment of volunteering, sharing information about volunteer opportunities, single or annual team projects, release time, dollars for volunteers, in-kind contribution drives, etc.
Programming offered by the Volunteer Center of Johnson County includes:
Workplace Volunteer Council: A coalition of local business leaders that have employee volunteer programs or would like to engage employees in volunteerism. The Council provides networking opportunities, sharing of best practices, and professional development.
Annual Day of Service: Match teams of volunteers with projects to fulfil community needs.
Volunteer opportunity database: Visit our website at www.unitedwayjc.org and click on the yellow volunteer button shown above to search more than 150 volunteer opportunities.
Assistance with volunteer matching: Tailor experiences to meet interests such as team-building, skill-based / professional pro bono services, family volunteering, and others.
Board Bank Training: Provide leadership development and community engagement opportunities. Volunteers will understand their responsibilities to govern and be strategically linked to non-profit agencies needing effective, skilled board members.
