Who We Are
Volunteer community leaders from all parts of our local community govern United Way of Johnson County as our Board of Directors. Volunteers also participate in United Way through their service on the Community Impact Council (Fund Distribution Panel), Campaign Cabinet, Community Investment Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Internal Operations Committee, Resource Development Committee, Loaned Executive Team, Speakers Bureau, and Workplace Campaign Teams.
The United Way Board of Directors employs a staff of six to raise funds, manage the organization, and provide services, such as identifying community needs, providing management assistance to affiliated agencies, and distributing in-kind goods and services. United Way of Johnson County is an independent, nonprofit organization overseen by a local volunteer Board of Directors.
