Iowa Women's Basketball : Lending a Helping Hand

A very special "thank you" to the Iowa Hawkeye Women's Basketball team for their efforts in flood relief volunteer efforts.

On Thursday, July 17, 2008, Head Coach Lisa Bluder and Associate Head Coach Jan Jensen lead their team to the Normandy Drive neighborhood in Iowa City to aid in sandbag removal. The ladies were referred to the job by the United Way of Johnson County Volunteer Center. Volunteers for clean-up and de-sandbagging are still desperately needed in our community to help in flood recovery efforts.

To follow the lead of the Iowa Hawkeye Women's Basketball team, and volunteer your time and talents,
please contact the United Way of Johnson County Volunteer Center at (319) 337-VOLS (8657).
