The Volunteer Center of Johnson County, Disney, and
HandsOn Network hope to inspire families to volunteer in their communities
during 2010 through the first of its kind program, Give a Day. Get a Disney
Day. One million people who perform one day of volunteer service for a
participating agency will recieve a free one-day admission ticket to Disney
World or Disneyland theme park. The program begins January 1,2010 and ends
December 15, 2010.
Volunteers.
Starting January 1, 2010 you can search, and sign up for a
volunteer opportunity in our community on the Disney website for volunteers . You can sign up 60 days in advance
for an opportunity which will guarentee you a ticket.
Volunteers will receive a voucher after they volunteer, which will be good for a free Disney ticket for use in 2010.
Any opportunity you find on our
website is potentially qualified for this program, so start searching today!
Agencies.
If you are a registered agency with
the Volunteer Center of Johnson County on our website , you are already pre-registered on
the Disney and HandsOn Network website for agencies.
Please visit that website to activate your account and become a verifier (see
steps below). All of your opportunities posted on our website will
automatically show up on the Disney website for volunteers, there is no need to
double-post!
