Patti Fields
Director of Community Impact 

Patti Fields received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa.  She is the Director of Community Impact at the United Way of Johnson County, supervises the Volunteer Center of Johnson County, and has served on the Iowa City Community School District Board of Education since 2005.  Patti serves as a Commissioner on the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service, the Management Team for the Ten Thousand Hours Show of Eastern Iowa , the Association of Volunteer Resource Managers Board of Directors, the Obermann Graduate Institute Advisory Board, chairs the Training and Events Committee for United Ways of Iowa, is the Vice President of the Volunteer Centers of Iowa and is an instructor for the Volunteer Management Certificate program at Kirkwood College.   Patti has over 16 years of experience working with volunteers in non profit organizations.  She has presented at the Annual Convening of Crisis Intervention Personnel, the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service Conference and the Annual Volunteer Administrators’ Network Conference.  

Jill Schnoebelen (E-mail)
Volunteer Center Coordinator

 

Jill Schnoebelen received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from Yale University and a Masters in International Law and Human Rights from the University for Peace in Costa Rica.  She is the Volunteer Center Coordinator at the United Way of Johnson County.  Jill has worked at an orphanage and women ’s rights non-profit in Ghana and with refugees in Egypt, Yemen and across Africa.  She was a Fulbright Scholar in Malaysia, where she studied alms giving in Islam as a potential source of funding for poverty eradication programs.  She returned home to Iowa in 2009 to become Muscatine Refugee Community Resource Supervisor for Lutheran Services in Iowa and continues in that role part-time.  In that capacity, she recruits, trains and supervises volunteers.
